Boxes are used for defining the tesselation tolerance for nurbs surfaces, if the attributes USERELTESS (6.4.17) and USEBOXRELTESS (6.4.16) are set.
See also the function SCENENODE_GETBBOX (6.6.7), which gets the bounding box of the primitives attached to a scene graph node and recursively to all of its child nodes.
v is a typeless node, which must be connected to six number nodes, e.g v = (x1, x2, y1, y2, z1, z2), which define the box.
